Abby Jones, Youth Minister at Sacred Heart Parish, Mt. Pleasant:
"Do you want to go on a fabulously exhausting adventure worth every second of your time?
I would highly recommend you sign up to go to World Youth Day in Seoul, South Korea in 2027.
I attended the WYD in Lisbon, Portugal in 2023. I learned so much about myself, my faith, and humility on this trip. Most importantly, I learned how God works in the unknown. We as pilgrims may not speak the same language, but we all love the same God and that was shown through so many people we encountered.
My mind and heart were changed from selfishness into a mind and heart of mercy and sacrificial love. I think that came from a foundation of prayer we had on the trip- going to mass, adoration, stations of the cross, seeing relics, visiting holy sites, etc.
If God has placed it on your heart to go, take that leap of faith and sign up! Step out in faith and let Him pave the path. Join us and discover what it truly means to be a pilgrim, united as one body in Christ."
