Great time. Could have used more in depth explanations while visiting places. Food could have had more variety.

Led by a fantastic leadership group, the trip was a seamless experience with a wonderful group of like minded catholics coming from different backgrounds. Accomodations were solid allowing easy access to many great locations, the mass locations were well planned. Need to keep the mass at Basilica of Saint Paul outside the walls and Church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Assisi. Great expereinces there. Having the option for lunch on your own was a good idea. Provided some flexibilty in the packed schedule. One day could be a planned lunch together and then dinner on your own to offer a little change up in the schedule. (but dinner together offered a chance to catch up with everyone to discuss the day). Keep it up.

This trip was really well organized & fantastic! I'm very thankful for all the behind the scenes planning that went into this to make it such a wonderful experience for us pilgrims. The tour guides were great & logistically did a wonderful job getting a large group around & explaining each place that we were going to. I also was extremely pleased with & thankful for the affordable pricing on this trip & all that it covered, including each of our dinners & breakfasts. This was a place I never thought I'd get to go, but this trip was made very affordable for me. The trip itinerary also threw in numerous surprises, with the biggest & most exciting being a tour of the Dome of St. Peter's Basilica, which was quite an exhilarating experience, and something that I will never forget!

Going to Mass and praying together was wonderful. However, I was disappointed by the following by chaotic and confusing scheduling and direction. Please note: Dignity lives in the details, and we were not treated with dignity. See examples below: On our arrival, the tour guide took us to the hotel and let us drop off the luggage and use the restroom and that was it. She ten tool us to Padua where she dropped us off and took us the wrong way. We then had to backtrack our steps, and she then told us we had 20 minutes for lunch. She seemed to not have any sympathy for the fact we had just arrived in Italy with little sleep. This would seem like a no-brainer given she is the tour guide and should know the direction we should take. Father Norbert was angry and told her so which was uncomfortable to watch. After each day's tour, the guide would tell us what we were having for dinner and the schedule for the next day. Inevitably it would change several times. She and Fr. Norbert would argue. It would have been much more efficient to put all of us on a text chain or send one email every day with the exact timing of the schedule for the following morning. This lack of clarity was very tiring and led me to think that the trip was poorly planned from the beginning. The time for dinner changed everyday. Sometimes dinner was scheduled for 8 p.m. which is way too late for people who have been walking all day. The tour guide said the late hour was because that's what Italians do. She seemed to be unable to empathize that we needed rest and early dinner may not be what Italians do, but we should have been accommodated. It is hard to write a negative review of the tour but I do want to say that I made some great friends and was joyous to be party of wonderful Catholic pilgrimage.
